Puttalam Mayor Eng. Rinsad Ahamed participated in the UNCCD COP17 – Mayor’s Forum 2026, which commenced yesterday, 21 August 2026, representing Sri Lanka and the City of Puttalam, and delivered a special address at the international forum.
He also participated in discussions on climate change, natural disasters, sustainable land-resource management, urban development, and sustainable urban governance.
During these discussions, Mayor Rinsad Ahamed shared Sri Lanka’s experiences and presented Puttalam’s vision for future urban development on the international stage, contributing his perspectives to the global dialogue.
