The Puttalam Municipal Council has reconstructed the Nedum Kulam Bund to help prevent flooding in Puttalam.
During the rainy season, floodwater entering the town through the Nedum Kulam Bund has been a long-standing problem. The reconstruction work was carried out under the leadership of the Mayor of Puttalam to reduce the risk of flooding and protect the people and properties in the area.
This work is part of the Puttalam Municipal Council’s efforts to improve flood prevention and ensure the safety of the people of Puttalam.
