As part of its ongoing efforts to address long-standing drainage issues, the Puttalam Municipal Council is carrying out reconstruction work on an affected drainage system in Ward 05, following a request made by Ward 05 Municipal Council Member Mohamed Murshid Murshid.
In addition, cleaning and maintenance work is currently being carried out on several drainage systems within the Ward 05 area.
The main objective of these works is to reduce water stagnation and the risk of flooding during the rainy season, while providing the public with a cleaner, healthier and safer environment.
