A New Milestone for Puttalam Municipal Council: Highest Monthly Revenue of Rs. 75 Million
As a result of continuous efforts over the past year, Puttalam Municipal Council has achieved a new milestone in its history.
For the first time in Puttalam’s history, the Municipal Council recorded a monthly revenue of Rs. 75 million, making July 2026 the highest revenue-earning month ever recorded by the Council.
The Mayor announced at the Council meeting that this achievement was the result of continuous administrative efforts, improved revenue collection, and effective measures implemented over the past year.
The increased revenue will enable the Municipal Council to carry out more development projects in Puttalam city, which is a positive development for the people of the area.
