This is an important notice to all property owners and contractors engaged in construction activities within the jurisdiction of the Puttalam Municipal Council.
When constructing new buildings such as houses, shops, or other structures, or when carrying out renovations or extensions, please strictly observe the following regulations:
- The preparation of concrete or cement mix on public roads is strictly prohibited.
- Dumping or storing sand, stones, or other construction materials on public roads in a manner that causes inconvenience to the public is an offence.
- Any violation of these regulations will result in the seizure of materials by the Puttalam Municipal Council, along with the imposition of fines as per applicable laws.
In order to protect the orderliness and aesthetic appearance of our city, we kindly request all parties to obtain guidance from the Municipal Council and extend their full cooperation.
