Services"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>The Puttalam Municipal Council provides support and development services for registered pre-schools within the Municipal Council area.<\/p>\n<p>The service focuses on supporting early childhood education and promoting the educational, creative and social development of young children.<\/p>\n<h2>Registered Pre-Schools<\/h2>\n<p>According to the information currently published by the Puttalam Municipal Council:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>41 pre-schools<\/strong> are registered under the Council.<\/li>\n<li>Approximately <strong>1,500 students<\/strong> receive early childhood education.<\/li>\n<li>More than <strong>80 teachers<\/strong> are engaged in providing pre-school education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Educational Development and Monitoring<\/h2>\n<p>Municipal Council officers monitor and review the educational standards of registered pre-schools.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of this programme is to support the development of a strong educational foundation for children from the earliest stages of learning.<\/p>\n<h2>Support for Pre-Schools<\/h2>\n<p>The published service information states that registered pre-schools receive an allowance of <strong>Rs. 10,000.00 each<\/strong>, subject to the applicable Municipal Council programme and approved arrangements.<\/p>\n<h2>Tiny Tots Programme<\/h2>\n<p>The Puttalam Municipal Council conducts an annual programme known as <strong>Tiny Tots<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This programme brings together pre-school children and provides them with opportunities to participate in artistic and creative performances.<\/p>\n<p>The programme helps children to develop:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creativity.<\/li>\n<li>Confidence.<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Artistic abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Social interaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Our Objective<\/h2>\n<p>The objective of the Pre-School Service is to support the development of a better educational community by providing children with a strong foundation for learning and personal
